Bournemouth is a great place to come to! It’s got lovely sandy beaches with quite a few being dog friendly! I love being in Bournemouth in the summer, it’s totally buzzing with activity! There’s the lovely gardens to walk through, a fabulous shopping center, lots of restaurants with all kinds of food to eat at and of course the shops in the town center with all the usual bigs shops, an area with some upmarket expensive designer shops and the triangle if you fancy an alternative theme in shops, food and entertainment!!
Bournemouth has a lot to offer with night life making it a popular destination for stag parties and hen nights! For the me now the is the lap dance clubs the most well known ones being spearmint rhino and secrets. There are loads of bars to enjoy yourself in…the most popular and chosen area is the road that goes from the triangle out to towards Westbourne where you have a long line of bars, clubs and now RP the upmarket new hotel not long built, The Hilton with a bar at the top with views over bournemouth town center and replaces the old very popular upmarket Klutes bar for the mature glamorous nightlife before it was sold and became a more younger venue.
There is also a nightclub across the road in an old church building across the road but the bars up and down this road all stay open fairly late anyway. There is also the Royal Exeter hotel bar which is a chosen venue of the classier night goers, 1812 bar lounge and dinner. If you like a restaurant with good food and a view there is always the West Beach restaurant which is literally on the beach front with stunning views out to sea and offering outside dinning in the summer months! Some weekend evenings you can also catch the glamorous here having a drink too! There are so many many more other places to go in the evening but too many to mention here LOL. You also have Boscombe just up the road in one direction with lots of fabulous places towards the sea to drink and eat and in the opposite direction is Westbourne with another collection of fabulous places to eat and drink! If you have deep pockets this is also another place to go shopping for expensive items for women especially!! And as for the beach ….Westbourne and this stretch of beach and his side of Bournemouth is particularly dog friendly! Not to mention the most amazing tropical gardens and if you have time to take a long walk there is a walk from the Westbourne Road down to the beach through a deep cut with the most stunning trees and views of this kind of foliage, so amazing you wouldn’t think you were actually in this country!
Back or Bournemouth, in the summer months the middle of the town center is buzzing and where the old building on the sea front was knocked down it has now been replaced by lots of fun things like an area where they quite often have singers or groups playing, a fairground type area plus lots more. At the end of the summer is the air show which has lots of things going on at the sea front stretching from Bournemouth pier right along to Boscombe pier! Every year it seems to get better and better. I loved the year they had the restaurant Koh there in a very stunning looking tent restaurant with a large area where you could buy drink and sit at tables, happy music playing … it had a very Ibiza type feel to it!!
